A Touch of the Irish!
Aoife Clancy & Eddie Dillon’s shared history, quick wit, and unmistakable chemistry—combined with an eclectic mix of Celtic music, Americana, and original songs—promise an evening of music and storytelling not to be missed.
Aoife and Eddie have been sharing stages and songs since the early 1990s, and it shows. Their performances carry the ease, confidence, and spark that only come from decades of making music together in concert halls, folk clubs, festivals, and intimate venues on both sides of the Atlantic. Rooted firmly in folk traditions, their repertoire weaves contemporary songwriting with deep Irish and Celtic influences. Add in their joyful onstage banter and formidable vocal and instrumental skills, and it’s no surprise their shows are consistently met with enthusiastic audiences!
About the Artists
Born in County Tipperary, Ireland, Aoife Clancy is the daughter of the legendary Bobby Clancy of the Clancy Brothers. She first met Eddie Dillon in 1999 while he was visiting Ireland. That same year, Aoife traveled to the United States for what was intended to be a brief two-week tour. But once she began performing with Eddie, plans changed. The musical connection—and the welcome she found—led her to make New England her home, where she would remain for the next 25 years: Aoife’s career soon expanded when she was invited to join the acclaimed New York–based ensemble Cherish the Ladies. With the group, she toured more than 250 dates a year and appeared as a guest performer with the Boston Pops, Cincinnati Pops, and other symphony orchestras nationwide. She has released several recordings, including a Grammy-nominated album with Cherish the Ladies and the Boston Pops.

Eddie Dillon, a native of Braintree, Massachusetts, has made Fairhaven his home for most of his adult life. His musical journey began in the 1970s, performing in folk clubs and festivals throughout the Northeast. With more than 45 years of experience entertaining audiences—in the Irish music world and as a singer songwriter—Eddie holds the distinction of being the only Irish American to tour with the Clancy Brothers in both the United States and Ireland. A longtime member of the Irish folk group the Shananagans, Eddie is also widely respected as a guitarist and songwriter, with many of his original compositions recorded by artists such as Aoife Clancy, Barleycorn, and Seamus Kennedy. In addition to performing, he is a recording engineer with a studio in Fairhaven and has released three solo CDs, most recently All For a Song in July 2025.
