About the Actors
Margo Ruggiero
As Melissa Gardner
Margo Ruggiero is excited to make her first appearance on The Shepherd Center stage in A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters. She is thrilled to be performing under the direction of Jennifer Palmer again and honored to have previously worked with Jennifer in the role of Madeline in The Women of Lockerbie and as M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias at the Marion Art Center in Marion. Margo has been performing and directing for many years, her most recent endeavor being the role of Helen Hubbard in Murder on the Orient Express at the Steeple Playhouse in New Bedford.
Frank Mitchell
As Andrew Makepeace Ladd III
“It is indeed an honor to be a part of this touching, funny and relatable love story that many well-known, fine actors have performed through the years. I had the chance to be Andy Ladd to director/spouse, Jennifer Palmer’s Melissa Gardner several years ago on Cape Cod, where it was my pleasure to be involved in many productions at various theatres. Since relocating to the South Coast, I have had the opportunity to be in the casts of 12 Angry Men, A Man for All Seasons and The Fantasticks at Your Theatre, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas with New Bedford Festival Theatre, The Women of Lockerbie at the MAC Theatre and Love Letters, also at The MAC. Please enjoy this presentation of the A.R. Gurney Classic.”
