About the Artists
Felix the Funky Cat, a Berklee College of Music grad, from the bands Shockra, Another Planet, Dancing Dogs, Flying Dutchmen, Funky Cat Trio, Neal McCarthy Problem, and Heavy Metal Horns, and Louis LoCicero from Wood Street Jazz band and Los Duderinos, both with extensive teaching and performing experience will lead you on an electrifying ride through the evolution of the guitar, starting with swing, blues and Boogaloo, before culminating in the incendiary funk and blues rock of these legendary icons.
The interplay of Felix’ and Louis’s guitars and their musical conversations make for exhilarating highlights as they build to dual guitar frenzies! Their skill at playing in the style of the music and the artist, as well as their use of vintage hollow body jazz guitars for the first set and solid body electrics for the second set, gives additional authenticity to their mesmerizing and world class performances.
Joined this time by trumpeter extraordinaire Garret Savluk, six string bass phenom Mike Janelle, and the smoking Dave Chronister on drums make this a not to be missed show!
